Note: SWA-24X2C is a specialized controller, which can ONLY work under one operating schedule (please check the flow chart below). For universal PID controller with timer feature, please check SWA-24X1 instead.
This PID controller is modified from the SWA-2451 controller with an additional alarm relay and special programs for industrial oven application. It contains a timer and two alarms. It can automatically accomplish a parts fabrication from start to finish. If you only need to run a single set temperature with full automation, SWA-2452C is much easier to set up than programming a controller with ramp/soak function. Typical applications for oven are powder coating, resin curing and heat treating. Below is a flow chart illustrating how it works.
Operator starts the process by putting cold parts into the oven. When temperature reaches the set point, the timer starts to count and temperature alarms start to function. If the temperature is out of range, the alarm will be turned on. If the temperature exceeds the high limit alarm setting, output will also shut off. When the time is up, the output will shut off to starts cooling down. After the temperature drops down to a preset temperature, a second alarm will notify the operator that the parts are done.
